Stakeholders Call for Sustainable Growth of Modakeke as Lovely Brothers Achievers Club Hosts Community Development Lecture, Award Presentation Ceremony
The Lovely Brothers Achievers Club of Modakeke on Sunday hosted a community development lecture and award presentation ceremony, themed "Beyond Politics To Progress: Empowering Youth for Unity, Peace and Sustainable Development", at Modakeke High School.

The event featured keynote speakers, Professor Ayo Ogunsiji and Dr Sheriff Olatunji, who both delivered thought-provoking lecture on "Beyond Politics: The Call for Unity, Peace and Sustainable Growth in Modakeke" and "Igniting the Flame: Youth Empowerment as the Catalyst for Peace, Unity and Progress" respectively. The lecture was followed by an award presentation ceremony, where Alhaji (Dr) Fatai Kolawole was conferred as the Patron of the club, Olorì Victoria Iyabo Akintokun conferred as the Patroness and Alhaji Wole Animasaun was honoured as the Adviser of the club.

His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Adebisi Akintokun (JP), the Onidoka of Idoka Ijesa was recognized with special outstanding award at the event for his vital role in community development and cultural advancement, known as symbol of purposeful leadership in his domain.

The Club President, Achiever Oyedele Kammel Oyewale had earlier welcome guests and emphasized the club's commitment to community development. He added that the club's goal is to uplift Modakeke community through initiatives like youth empowerment and regular sensitization.

The event drew community leaders, professionals and youths, all eager to engage in discussions on community growth and development.

Other speakers at the event Oba (Dr) Olubiyi Toriola, the Ogunsua of Modakeke, Oba Samuel Akintokun, the Onidoka of Idoka Ijesa, Oba Michael Adedeji, the Ado-Oko of Ido-Oko Ijesa, Professor Peter Olawuni, MPU National President, Honourable Wale Amusan, Alhaji Fatai Kolawole, Chief Timothy Olarewaju, Honourable Mojeed Lawal and others acknowledged unity and youth empowerment as key determinants to sustainable community development with emphasis that politicians should consider community agenda over personal agenda.

Other dignitaries in attendance include the Olomo of Omo Ijesa, Oba Michael Adejola, Adominasi of Idominasi, Oba Anthony Obisanya, the Aladekimo of Ikimo Ijesa, Oba Babatunde Ojo, the Alayegunle of Ayegunle Ijesa, Oba Isaac Coker, Heads of Village, Professor Moshood Olayiwola, Mr Olayiwola Olasunkanmi, clubs, artisans, youths and other stakeholders.
